Regarding classes for Fall semester 2020,
Although Saga University has been considering to conduct classes for Fall semester 2020 while watching the situation of COVID-19, we don’t know when this infection ends. Based on the current situation, we will offer the classes (including regular exams) for Fall semester as follows because the health and safety of students and staff in Saga University remains our top priority. Regarding the Support Fund and Allowance for the Leave Forced to be taken under the COVID-19 Outbreak
“The support fund and allowance for the leave forced to be taken under the COVID-19 outbreak” was established by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare to help those who had to take leave due to the COVID-19 spread. The application has been accepted from 10th July 2020. This is the support that employees can apply for when they have not been paid for the leave forced to be taken. Regarding face-to-face classes in August
Related to COVID-19 infection of our student in Saga University, a PCR test was conducted to people concerned with University, who were suspected of contacting to the student. According to the announcement by Saga Prefecture on July 29, it was confirmed that all tested negative. As a result, face-to-face classes (including regular exams) will start from August 1. Please note that face-to-face classes may be subjected to cancel depending on the spread of infection of COVID-19 so please be aware of University’s HP and email.

Cancellation of face-to-face classes and ban of club activities
As a Saga University student tested positive for COVID-19, the decision has been made as follows in order to prevent the spread of infection. 【Regarding cancellation of face-to-face classes】 Facet-to-face classes are cancelled except special educational subjects in Faculty of Medicine between July 29th and 31st.
