Application for the Saga University Alumni Association International Exchange Incentive Grant

Students enrolled in regular undergraduate and graduate courses (including international students, hereinafter referred to as “students”) can apply for this program if they wish to engage in international study and research activities.

*Both 2 and 3 have to be submitted.

 

Application Requirements

Applicants for the incentive grant shall be those who fall under all of the following

  1. Students enrolled in regular undergraduate and graduate courses of the University (including the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences Kagoshima University and International Students)
  2. Students who are Saga University Alumni members
  3. Students who have been recommended by their academic advisor (primary advisor) who is a member of Saga University Alumni.

※We will confirm the fact that you have joined the Saga University Alumni Association. If you joined at the time of admission to the undergraduate school and are currently enrolled in the graduate school, please enter your student ID number at that time in the section of “Status of membership in the Saga University Alumni Association” in Form 1 of the application form.

 

Activities of Students Eligible for Incentive Grants
  1. Overseas research meetings and joint research
  2. International classes, etc. conducted by the University in collaboration with overseas universities, etc.
  3. Other overseas activities

 

Amount to be paid

Up to 50,000 yen, will be paid as part of travel expenses, accommodation expenses, conference registration fees, and other expenses deemed necessary within the budget.

※For conference presentations made online, only the amount of expenditure related to conference registration fees (and costs related to abstracts) will be paid.

※Students who have been awarded the incentive grant must submit the following documents within one month of returning.

[Documents to submit]

  1. Activity Performance Report (Form 3) (Attach a photo showing the activity)
  2. Receipt and Other Documents Submission Form (Form 4) (Attach the following documents)
    ・Airlines boarding pass
    ・Receipt for airlines ticket
    ・Receipt for expenses of stay
    ・Receipt for Visa fee
    ・Receipts for other expenses incurred for the activities to be supported

The receipt only needs to be able to confirm the expenditure to be more than the total amount of all benefits, including the benefits of expenses from others.

  1. If any expenses were paid in local currency, documents showing the exchange rate at the time of expenditure is required

If you have a thank you letter to the Alumni Association, please submit it as well.
