On February 2-3, 2023, Saga University was invited to attend the 80th anniversary ceremony held at Kasetsart University, and Vice President Nobuo Mishima, Director of Center for Promotion of International Exchange, attended on behalf of President of Saga University.

The ceremony was attended by more than 50 institutions from around the world, including many from Japan.

At the ceremony, under the title of “Higher Education and Leadership for Global Goals: Sustainable Development and Beyond,” the President of Yamaguchi University, the Vice President of Hohenheim University, the Vice President for International Affairs of the University of Michigan, and the Vice President of Singapore University gave a keynote speech on their research on the subject. After the keynote speeches by the President of Yamaguchi University, the Vice President of Hohenheim University, the Vice President for International Affairs of the University of Michigan, and the Vice President of Singapore University on their respective research topics, a friendly exchange between the universities followed.

The exchange between Vice President Mishima and President Chongrak Wachrinrat of Kasetsart University was also held to discuss the exchange between the two universities.

Kasetsart University is one of the largest universities in Thailand, based in Bangkok, with approximately 58,000 students.

Since concluding an inter-university exchange agreement in 1996, Saga University and Kasetsart University have been actively engaged in mutual exchanges, including joint research, joint holding of symposiums, and mutual dispatch of international students.

In addition, Vice President Kampanat and 13 others from Kasetsart University visited Saga University in November 2022.

We wish for the further development of both universities in the future.
