Vice President of National Chin-Yi University of Technology (Taiwan) pays courtesy visit to President Kodama of Saga University

On February 27, Saga University received a visit from Dr. Win-Jet LUO, Vice President for International Exchange, and five others from National Chin-Yi University of Technology, Taiwan, which has concluded an inter-university exchange agreement with Saga University starting in 2019.

 

The delegation visited Saga University on December 12, 2011 to thank the representatives from Saga University for their attendance at the 50th anniversary celebration hosted by National Chin-Yi University of Technology and to exchange views on how to continue and develop new academic and educational exchanges in the field of science and engineering with Saga University after the Corona Disaster.

 

President Kodama and Vice President Teramoto welcomed the delegation, and prior to the exchange of opinions, President Kodama expressed his appreciation for the visit and the human resource development efforts that both universities have made in cooperation with each other. Afterwards, they presented a souvenir ceramic plate made of Arita-yaki porcelain, which is mainly produced in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, and confirmed the resumption of exchanges between the two universities after Corona in the future.

 

After the courtesy call, the delegation had a lively exchange of opinions on specific future academic exchange plans in the field of mechanical engineering, with the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Mr. Toyoda, and the Director and Vice President of the Center for Promotion of International Exchange, Mr. Mishima, and others.

 

Afterwards, the delegation observed events such as the Doll Festival and visited historical facilities to learn more about Japanese culture and Saga’s history. It is hoped that this visit will lead to the expansion and activation of exchanges between the two universities after the Corona disaster.
