When you graduate from Saga University, please answer “Completion Questionnaire for International Students” via Microsoft Forms.

Procedures after graduation/completion

We will check the following documents/copies to prevent illegal residence of international students, so please email us the scanned documents below.
Since you lose status of residence “Student” after graduation/completion, you must leave Japan shortly even if your period of stay remains. If you continue to stay in Japan, you must change your status of residence from “Student” to the appropriate visa status.

Where to submit: International Affairs Division (student-int@mail.admin.saga-u.ac.jp)

  1. The required documents in case of returning to your home country after graduation/completion.
    • 【Before returning】Air tickets or e-tickets etc. to return
    • 【After returning】Your passport which is stamped for departure or document where we can check the date of your departure.
  2. The required documents in case of entering another university in Japan after graduation/completion.
    • 【Before enrollment】An acceptance letter from the university
    • 【After enrollment】Your student ID card
  3. The required documents in case of joining a company in Japan after graduation/completion.
    • 【Before employment】An acceptance letter from the company
    • 【After employment】Your staff ID card or certificate of staff
    • 【After changing the status of residence】Your residence card
  4. The required documents in case of continuing job-seeking in Japan after graduation/completion.
    You must change your status of residence, so please inform us by email.
