Regarding Saga University Activity Restriction Index for Prevention from the Spread of COVID-19

  1. Activity Restriction Index after 14th January, 2021
    Based on the fact that the number of infected people is increasing in Saga as well as the statement of emergency ofJanuary 13 has been issued to seven prefectures including Fukuoka in addition to a metropolitan area, We, Saga university, raise the level of activity restriction index to level 3 and operate as follows. Please check our website and email from us as we inform further information regarding each activity.
  2. Each Activity
    【Research Activity】
    Only necessary minimum of people involved with laboratory are allowed to enter the campus to continue ongoing experiment/research.
    【Class】
    Classes of the second semester of 2020 academic year are carried out in the current style which is “while online classes are conducted as a general rule, partial classes are conducted face-to-face.” This will last until the end of this semester. A class that is permitted to be conducted in face to face style are carried out with thoroughgoing measure for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
    【Extracurricular Activity】
    All the facilities for extracurricular activity are closed as well as extracurricular activities are prohibited in principle (except for activities held online).
    We will make a decision on resumption as watching the situation carefully. If you have any inconveniences, please contact us for inquiry.
    【Procedure for Saga University Students to Enter the Campus】
    In Honjo and Arita campus, no one is allowed to enter the campus unless you have a face-to-face class to attend. When you need to use facilities on the campus or go through all kinds of procedures, you may enter the campus. However, the length of your stay should be as short as possible.
    Students who have those following ①~④ conditions cannot enter the campus. In that case, though your attendance will be suspended, consideration will be paid not to cause disadvantage to you.
    ① People who are not feeling well / in poor health. When you have a symptom of a cold, a fever(higher than 37.5℃), a taste disorder, a smell disorder.
    ② People “who had symptoms mentioned in ① for the past 8 days and currently do not have symptoms,” also do not fit any of those below conditions as well.
    1) At least 8 days passed after appearance of symptoms and 2) in a condition that you are not on any medication, at least 3 days passed after alleviation of fever as well as disappearance of symptoms.* Please take a look at Health Care Center website for detail.
    ③ People who infected with COVID-19 and people who are considered as a close contact with people infected
    and in self-quarantine.
    *If people who fit in those①~③ desire to be absent from classes, examinations and practical training because of poor
    health, please make sure to contact the office of your faculty and Health Care center.
    ④ People who entered Japan from foreign countries within 2 weeks
  3.  Other
    ・ When you do activities mentioned above, please take serious measures to prevent from the spread of COVID-19 such as avoiding “3Cs”, washing hands and coughing manners.
    ・ Please make your commute as short as possible.
    ・ This index is subject to change depending on the COVID-19 situation.
    ・ Please confirm those following points and prevent from any risk of infection.
    ① Please refrain from traveling to Fukuoka unless you have urgent reasons (Commute is not considered as nonessential and non-urgent.) Also, please refrain from taking meals outside Saga. Even if it was inside Saga,
    please keep taking a drastic measure mentioned in ③ below. Please restrain from going to area where the infection is spreading such as Tokyo area, Kansai area, Chukyo area, Hokkaido. If you unwillingly need to go travel to and from those areas, please record your physical condition on a check sheet for 14days after you come back home.     In addition, please wear a mask when you enter the campus and avoid contacts with other students and staff.

    ② You should stop going out when you have any symptoms of a fever, a cold and fatigue. If those symptoms stay for a while, please contact closest medical institution in your area. (If you don’t have a regular doctor, please contact “Medical consultation center.”)
    ③ Take radical measures against COVID-19 such as wearing masks, washing hands, avoiding “3Cs”. When you talk to someone, please wear a mask all the time. When you take a meal with someone, please practice “the quiet dinner with mask”
    Please pay extra attention to the following “Five situation.”
    1) Social gatherings with drinking alcohol, 2) Long feasts in large groups, 3) Conversation without a mask, 4) Living together in a small limited space, 5) Switching locations.
