On July 21, President Rofiuddin and his delegation from the Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Indonesia, visited Saga University(SU).

UM and SU have had an academic exchange agreement since 2011. On March 24, 2008, UM was scheduled to visit SU for the signing ceremony of the academic exchange agreement, but due to the spread of the new coronary disease, the visit could not be realized.UM’s courtesy visit to SU was realized this time.

The delegation came to Japan to exchange views on the development of academic and student exchange with SU, including the international mobility program for doctoral students with SU, academic exchange of researchers in particular, and programs for the development of high quality human resources in electrical engineering and information technology at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering.

The delegation first paid a courtesy call on President KODAMA and Vice President TERAMOTO, and President Rofiuddin expressed his gratitude for the cooperation between the two universities in fostering human resources, and President KODAMA presented a ceramic plate made of Arita porcelain, which is made in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, as a commemorative gift.

The delegation then exchanged opinions with Dr. MISHIMA,  Vice President and Director of the Center for the Promotion of International Exchange, and Dr. TOYODA, Dean of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, regarding the future development of academic and student exchange with SU, which was a matter of interest for the delegation.

For SU, the exchange of opinions with the delegation was very useful in considering the promotion of high quality academic and student exchange that we aim for.
